Beware on these routers. Most being sold are locked to services like Vonage, which means that if you intend to use the VOIP Phone Ports with a provider other than Vonage, then you may as well see this unit as a brick to stop your paper blowing away. The Router is also almost impossible to update the firmware from also being locked. Most people selling these, do not list the unit as being locked, and unfortunately, many are unaware of it being locked. Do your homework, ask the seller a question as to if the unit is locked or unlocked. It is likely a great router, but the fact many are locked, it defeats the the purpose for it's functionality.
Not bad for the price, my home phone, cell phone, pc, and TV's are all online wireless. I got Charter Spectrum with 60Mbps service which stays around 30Mbps. It seems very secured.

A review by patkeona on 6/13/2011 *incorrectly* states that Vonage no longer accepts this router for use with their service. This is patently false. After losing one I owned for five years to a lightning strike, I ordered another on ebay, and activated it via the Vonage web page, no questions asked! It's true both Vonage and Cisco/Linksys no longer service it; however, Vonage continues to support it with increasingly helpful firmware upgrades. Also, the WRTP54G is far more flexible both in connectivity and configurability than the Vonage Box now being offered. For example, the WRTP54G provides gateway access to static *and* dynamically assigned IPs on the same network -- something I learned first-hand after initially trying to replace my fried WRTP54G with a Vonage Box.
I got vonage today and got everything installed. Everything seems to work great, setup the security on the router and you are off. Made some phone calls, setup the laptop for wireless, and tested online gaming. This rotuer doesn't seem to lag any on online games and everything works perfectly. No updates are required because it is so new, linksys hasn't released any. Got it for $50 after a rebate for signing up. If you want vonage and still want wireless this is the modem for you.
