Quick install into N54L
Ordered this one to replace PS in my N54L that failed after six years of continuous use. New one installed quickly, with just minor fitment issues. Only two mounting holes in the back lined up (third one is fairly redundant). Also I couldn't push in the 24-pin motherboard connector with enough force to engage the snap-lock (it's pretty tight and stable anyway). In the end, the system powered up and seems to function perfectly. (No excess noise noticed.)Ordered this one to replace PS in my N54L that failed after six years of continuous use. I purchased this for my N36L, and as noted, it the screws were off a bit. It's an upgrade (original was a 200W), so a bit pricey for my needs. But is a great replacement for a failed power supply. I'm very happy with the speed of delivery, the fit, and the quality of the product.

Great Drop-In Replacement
This is a great drop-in replacement for the native HP power supply. HP notoriously underpowers everything, and while this does not ordinarily limit normal usage, it does limit flexibility. With this power supply, you can build these boxes for more extensive use. I now run a full RAID set, two SSD mirrored boot volumes, a ML DVD writer, USB 3.0 ports, and a SAS controller - all with no worries.
