    Works and runs very well

    I purchased this to build a third computer. I had several other components already: an 8-core CPU; DVD writers; case with fans; CPU cooler; video card; and sound card. I needed a good motherboard, and found one that supported the CPU that I had in this M5A97 Rev. 1.02. I was pleased that it supported 32Gb of RAM, which I also purchased, separately, for this build. At this time, I have not yet completed building the computer by installing the motherboard and components in the case, but have tested the motherboard, CPU, RAM, etc., by hooking up basic components and running Knoppix from a live CD. I'm happy with the motherboard, as it works and runs successfully and well.

    Amazing motherboard at a steal of $45!!!

    Got it at an amazing deal of $45, running an FX-8350 with a ASUS ROG Strix RX-460 4gb. Will run ANYTHING. Definetly worth it. Even at $60 or even $70 ($70, maybe $80 would be worth it but $80 would be the max for me just bc the MSI Gaming 970 was $100 at the time) had to tweak some settings in the BIOS to run my 1866mhz ram but with a little bit of research it wasnt hard. But anyways, solid motherboard for this badass build. I am very appreciative to the seller for the great price on it! Thank you again

    One of the easiest installations from start to finish! Great buy!

    The reason I purchased this Asustek mother board was to replace an older board i had been using that had developed problems. The price of the board was very reasonable and after doing a little online research about the board, it looked like it would be a good fit for rebuilding my personal computer for home use. Installing the board was very easy to do, and once all the fans and other cords were attached, the board powered up without any problems at all! Browsing thru the new bios system on the board was very easy to understand and made it easy to overclock my computer system, for better performance without getting into any technical jargon or deep into the bios.     This Asus is Awesome!

    Did the install with previous processor & RAM from a slower motherboard - went right into POST, did the updates and then started running the programs. Much faster and more stable that the previous motherboard! No complaints whatsoever now. If you get the chance to find one, get your hands on it - you will not be disappointed!

    Best AMD motherboard for this price range. Amazing!

    This motherboard is the best for its price. Works great and seems to be using every bit of the processor and the memory to the fullest. The 6 sata III ports are amazing when using the hard disks with raid function. One more thing, this asus automatically increases my graphic card fan speed while playing. Compared to my previous motherboard, I had to manually increase the fan speed for the graphic card by using Vtune. Finally, although this motherboard was out during the year 2008, it is still a good purchase today.
