At 12$ it is less than half the price of most 5 port gigabit switches that i looked at. It doesnt come with a power cable, which would be nice, but 2$ at a thrift shop got me 2 adapters that i was able to splice together to make one for the switch. the switch uses 12v 1A, although the socket is narrower than the 12v socket on all of the routers that i use, hence the need to solder a different plug onto a 12v adapter. Once it powered up, the device has worked great, allowing me to hook all of my computers together with properly routed gigabit links.(you'll need a router as well if you dont allready have one, this just gives you a lot more ports). If you need more gigabit lan ports, i would definately reccomend.
