Great fan, quiet too! keeps my I9 cool but it is HUGE so yuo need a bigger sized case
Running this a 13700 I9 and cool as can be. Give 2 extra clips with the unit as it breaks on install if not super careful, I broke 1 so glad they included them. One thing is that it is HUGE, I mean BEYOND huge and never seen something so big in my life. You must have a good sized case, but I am running mine with a 4080 card in a nice Corsair case. So if you have a smaller case no way, but this fan itself is really wicked for sure!Running this a 13700 I9 and cool as can be. THE VERY BEST COOLER ON THE MARKET I HAVE HAD MINE A LIL LESS THAN A YEAR,AN ITS STILL GOING STRONG THESE NOCTUA NH-D15'S ARE A BEAST i hve mine on a i7 5820k overclocked to 4.5ghz @1.296v on a asus x99 delux u3.1 these are super easy to mount..a monkey could probly do it.. thyve got the best mounting system ever these WILL BEAT ALL AIO WATER COOLERS on the market as well.. i water cool my stuff most of the time with a custom loop,an i had a pump go down so i orderd this as a replacemnt n the mean time and ive just never went back..so much easyer to deal with,its quit to boot..I do not use the low nois adapters thes are so guit ya dont need toan + im old school i will take a lil noise for the cooler temps on my gear,sory thts just the way it is.. heat is eletronics #1 enemy. so cooler ... top of the line cpu cooler
was water cooling with a custom setup had 360 rad , was cooling to 34c . put the d15s on and now cooling to 30c with no fan or pump noise . could have saved a lot of $$$$ just getting a d15s. want to cool and be quite get a noctua

Save yourself a water-cooled headache. Get this!
I was doing a budget build recording computer with an old FX-8320. In order to get the most out of the chip I have every intention to OC the daylights out of this thing, but I'm still somewhat on the fence about water cooling. I've had many Noctua fans in the past and they really are fantastic, but man the workmanship and effectiveness of this cooler are just amazing! I was going to get the regular D15 but I wasn't sure if it would clear my ram (PNY Anarchy modules). Turns out I'd have been fine, but it's nice to know that I can just put a 140mm fan on this to make it a D15, or I can put a 120mm fan on this if the ram height winds up being an issue. Know your case limits because it really is quite tall. It fits easily in my Corsair Carbide Air 540. The specs show it to be 165mm tall ...
