Installed in 3GB/s minSata slot inside Lenovo x220. It is dual boot Win7 + LinuxMint17.3. Speeds about 60% of SATA III [because in a slower slot], but access times very fast, so the speed is apparent, little heat, no noise, no weight. The Samsung 500 EVO SSD in the drive bay runs at 540/520 while the PM851 runs 270/140, using LinuxMint DISKS utility benchmark. These read/write speeds have little to do with daily usage, which is closer to 4K benchmarks. The PM851 serves as a failsafe boot, in case the 500GB SSD fails. The reverse is true; if the PM851 fails, then the 500GB SSD will boot. Ditto for critical data, stored on both drives with daily backup. Windows 7 on the PM851 used GPARTED to copy a partition from spinning disk, then a Win7 install CD was used to repair the MBR so Win7 could boot from the PM851. The dual boot uses chainloading with a GRUB2 menu installed by LinuxMint. There have been no issues with the PM851 hardware.Read full review

Tried it in three different computers and a external drive case. Didn't work in any of them. Threw it in the trash.
