This is my second purchase of the 35W SR03F chip for G2 Sockets. This upgrade doubled performance over factor two i3 chips that where originally bundling with comparable socket G2 Sockets. It is also within a wide range of capable 35W G2 Sockets CPUs with the same instruction set. Well worth checking out for your future duel core upgrades. A few tools, time, patients, a good repair manual, and some thermal paste can go a long way.

I have an older Dell E5420 running W10 and replaced an i3 with this i7 and also went from 2g to 8g of memory, both very affordable ($40 each). This turned a slug of a computer into something I'm very happy with. Everything from booting up to opening apps to surfing is really quick. The only thing left is to get an SSD. At that point it will become a poor mans surface (without the touch screen). Got these good ideas from my brother who did the same thing with one of his, and it screams.
