using as personal work station for medical imaging. Even a few years old, this is hugely better than the computers provided at the hospital. A very decent computer after $60 SSD and $50 upgraded Quadro. Win 7 product key with choice to upgrade to Win 10. All in at $260 with workstation redundancy features making the "used" status less of a risk.

This is a surprisingly fast machine. It can handle a total of 72GB of RAM and there's plenty of space in the case for cables. Upgrading the RAM is easy, putting in new cards is easy, but I will admit to being puzzled by the PCI-X slot, as I hadn't seen it in a while. Replacing the CMOS battery was also fairly and did not result in damage. The machine is very quiet. It IS fairly heavy, though, so I would not recommend carrying it around the neighborhood.

I have a Dell T5500 with dual Xeon X5657 cpus and 24 gigs of DDR3 ram in triple channel array. The original motherboard conked out on me and I bought a second board which I installed which worked for a while and conked out as well. I found this pc which I bought to transfer my hardware to and after a bios update so it would recognize my CPUs it’s up and running with no issues. I was without my rig for approximately a month so it feels good to be up and running again.
