At the price I got this, it was almost a steal. Even at full retail price for a processor like this, it's still an excellent purchase if you want a fast computer. It's the perfect CPU to buy if you want a budget system without compromising performance for work, media, or even gaming. In fact it's a great CPU for gaming. Add a good graphics card like a NVIDIA Geforce 450/460/480, and you have a very good gaming computer to play games like Fallout 3 in very high resolution settings for a great deal of realism and detail. If you cant afford buying an Intel i7 processor (or even an i5) this CPU passes with flying colors. Not only that, this processor is great for overclocking and handles it well with some extra cooling of course. Superb performance for the money, and that's what makes this thing so great.Read full review
Good for extending the life of my old PC. It did have 4 or 5 bent pins that I had to straighten before installing, but a quick fix and then installed no problem. Works great. Had to go into Device Manager after physically installing to (virtually) uninstall my previous CPU, then re-boot in order for Device Manager to correctly display AMD II X4 945.

Despite being about a decade old, this processor was still an excellent value add to my HTPC. The clock speed was only a little bit faster, but I went from a dual core to a quad core.

Some pins were bent, took some time to carefully bend them to the correct position. After fitting the cpu worked well.

Shipped fast and boosted my old machine nicely for very little cost.
