I purchased the t430s for use in college. About: The computer has a decent battery life and is very portable. Overall the base computer with the i5 and 4gb ram runs at a decent speed. The track point and extra buttons work together very well and are much better than a standard track pad which is also included. OS: I am running Linux Ubuntu 13.10 and there are no compatibility issues. Pros: Nice keyboard design and layout+backlight and lenovo light Good battery life Thin and lightweight Room for hardware upgrades Cons: No Hdmi out, only display port. Must add $100 bay battery for extended battery life requires smaller 7mm hdd or ssd Overall the t430s is a good buy for work or school and will be much easier to use both out of the box and down the road. You get what you pay for. On windows, the Lenovo programs and features will also add value and make things easier.Read full review
Laptop works fine for what it is, but the listing advertises it as a T430s throughout it, but it's really a T430. So it's great as long as you know that you're purchasing a T430. Which means it will come with a lower resolution screen, and I believe a few other differences. The actual MPN or Model number is 23427YU, so you can look that up to see the specs.
