great board for those who can't afford the latest technology. Maxed out with the best components it'll handle, it'll still bury nearly any store brand tower. It runs great and cool all over in the right case. I recommend an aftermarket case with a few 120mm fans. Also make sure you reapply thermo paste to ALL the coolers, in case they got broke lose, being this is an older board. It will run 1066 ddr2 ram on all 4 dimms, unlike other simular models of Gigabyte motherboards, which run only 2 and only on single channel mode. Also I would recomend an all in one liquid cooler for the cpu if doing overclocking, due to limited space for the bigger aftermarket air coolers. This board has got better than average reviews elsewhere, I rolled the dice and took a chance and I'm not disappointed by this board. Wish Gigabyte had built all boards like they built this one, they might still be around. It sports all top quality components, so very likely it'll last you a few more years even used. This board is NOT for NOVICES, you have to know what you're doing or you'll kill the board. Do your research if your a beginner. Using a computer or changing out pci cards is different then changing a motherboard. also, make sure you don't buy a cheap generic power supply, it's dirty power and will shorten the life of your computer. A 500 watt Corsair is 100x's better than a cheap generic brand 750 watt power supply any day. Even though it's older tech, this board still packs a big punch.Read full review
Plenty of internal USB and FIREWIRE headers, no one will ever need the integrated graphics, if only that could be replaced with more external USB ports then this board would be perfect!!!
