Wasn’t useful in my Tandy 2500 XL/2
Teac made an insane number of diskette drives with the same general model number. They aren’t all the same. The extended model number is what you need to attend to, because not all FD-235H drives work interchangeably. In my case, this particular drive sold to me in this auction won’t work in a Tandy 2500 XL/2 computer, despite appearing to have the SAME general design, regardless of the cabling or jumper settings (simile jumper layout, too). That’s not the fault of the seller. It’ll sit on my shelf until some future need comes along. I found that the version of the Teac drive sold in Akai S5/6000 samplers does work for my Tandy 2500 XL/2, when jumpers are set correctly (very different layout to the drive reviewed here) and power stripped from the data cable, but again that is NOT the ... Teac made an insane number of diskette drives with the same general model number. They aren’t all the same.
