This drive was sealed from the factory, but it is not brand new. It's a factory refurbished drive, as marked on the label. That being said, it is still in perfect condition, so I can't complain. The drive was packed decently well, and arrived in its original seal from the Hitachi factory. No errors were found when testing either. A good drive at a great price.
