I have this same Samsung SyncMaster P2770FH monitor that I used for 13 years until it recently had issues with it turning off and on by itself randomly. I decided I should replace it by buying a brand new Samsung monitor. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as I liked because the screen image quality was poor, so I returned it. This leaves me to simply buy the same monitor again but in used condition. However, this one is like a treasure because it's brand new out of the box. I bought this monitor for around the same price as the brand new Samsung monitor that I wasn't satisfied with, so this is absolutely great value for the money. I don't think there are many of these monitors left since they're from the last decade, much less still brand new in the box. Also, I'm probably one of the last people on Earth that's still using this monitor. My older monitor lasted 13 years, so when it was new I was in first grade. Now I'm in college, so it's incredible to think of how this monitor is part of my life. I'm confident that this new exact model will last another 13 years or even longer, so it will be a monitor from the 2010s that will still be in service in the 2030s, which says a lot about Samsung's great build quality back then. Unfortunately, it seems like they don't make things like they used to anymore and this is one of the last great products they've got left and I'm lucky to have it. It certainly gives me a throwback to 2009, when my older monitor was brand new I specifically bought this monitor because I wanted everything to be the same as my old monitor. I didn't want to bother with the trouble of getting a new monitor and having to change the settings because the screen image is different or having to deal with the lower quality screen image. This monitor worked out in the end since it's the same model. However, not everything was perfect, and it took some tweaking to bring back the settings I had because this seems like a 2011 model and my old one is from 2009, so there were some new things in the menu settings. I am very satisfied with my purchase. By the time this one starts having problems as well, there won't be any of them left, so I hope this monitor will work for many years to comeRead full review

A lot of bad hype was going round the net about the referbs of this model. I have three of them and I can't make a single complaint. They are exquisite to look at like all of the Touch Of Color line. People complain about the resolution not being high enough but its fine for my needs and then some. I have 3 of them set up in Nvidia Surround giving me a resolution of 5760 X 1080 and that my friends is a beautiful thing. You can read reviews all over the net about this so I'm making this short and sweet - If you want a great deal on a 27 inch monitor look for a factory referb of this model and may I suggest Legend Micro or NewEgg. Both are dependable sellers. You won't be disappointed.
Having upgraded my wife from a CRT monitor to a 25" HP 2509m LCD back in '09 for $300, so she could play WOW in all its intended glory, I was determined to remain frugal with my 19" CRT and not give in to upgrading myself. But when this incredible deal came along that would get me even 2" bigger than hers for $75 less I finally gave in. At last my monitor is superior to hers once again! :) All the video inputs work fine on my monitor btw. I couldn't be more pleased with this monitor and haven't found anything about it that I could want to be better somehow.
What's to say about this monitor besides it's fast, big, and in full HD (1080p). It's well worth the retail price of $340 new, but I found mine for $200 refurbised, so I just HAD to pick it up. The 1 ms response time beats out over 99% of the monitor market, response time is a must-have for gamers. The resolution is perfect for me. I can now sit back and watch a movie, or play games with my wireless gamepad controller if I want. The monitor is just that big. Coming from a smaller widescreen monitor with a lower resolution, the difference is night and day.
I bought this to upgrade my old 23" monitor and I could not be happier. The colors are vivid, blacks are deep, and the picture quality is phenomenal. There is absolutely no ghosting while playing the latest video games. This was the best monitor I could find for the price and if I had the money I would buy two. The only downside to this monitor is the inability to tilt the screen. If that is of no concern to you, I definitely recommend this monitor.
