I've read some criticism of this system, and maybe there are IP phone systems with more capabilities than this one, but for the price, this system does everything we need in a 4-line office without any advanced technical knowledge. You can't beat it for simplicity to set up. Just hook up the incoming phone lines to the base set, and outgoing to Ethernet, plug in the power, then connect the client handsets via Ethernet and plug them in. Each set is assigned an IP address automatically via DHCP, in case you're wondering, although you don't need to know that. Setup is intuitive, specify on each handset the name of the base station (default is "console" I believe) and you can rename each phone for each user if you like. If you have a problem setting up a phone, usually it's because it was moved to a new location and some past configuration is saved, so just do a reset to factory default. The router will reassign it an IP address and it works like magic. Once we had our system working, any time we've had a problem, we just reboot the base set and sometimes individual sets, similar to rebooting your router, and that seems to fix the issue.Read full review

This phone system was a bargain for the price we paid. It is working like a new unit.
