Pros: Best P55 chipset motherboard for the money. Asus hasn't let me down yet. Runs like a hot-rod with an i7-860 and 8gb (4x2gb) ddr3 1600 Corsair ram. Cons: If you want a floppy controller or firewire on your board, or if you prefer to SLI or x-fire, for $20-50 more you should go with the non-LE P7P55D.
The board is definitely a worse version of ASUS P7P55D. You can run 4 RAM sticks at the same speeds but of different manufactures on the P7P55D. But with this particular board, you cannot run the same RAM configuration as before. The solid state capacitors are definitely of lower lifespan than advertised. My older P7P55D died twice. Once under warranty (on 2nd year of usage under warranty. SATA controller was dead) and again on the 3.50th year of usage (powers on then off and stays off. bad fuse somewhere). My old P7P55D died prematurely because it was not aggressively used or overclocked. Probably the actual lifespan of the board is probably half of what is advertised. But on the other hand, my Intel DP55WB outlasted, and outlived, the expensive ASUS motherboard.
