My unit does not provide the phone quality that we have come to expect from land line phones. One number I call has what sounds like a roofer nailing shingles in the back ground and another number has the sound of waves breaking in the background. Both are cell phone but I do not know what cell carrier they are on. It could be caused by my internet provider. As far as the Ooma unit is concerned I think it is a good product.
