I do not like the retail USB 3.0 drives. the proprietary connector is a setback. I would rather have the SATA connectors so i can set up my drives in my desktop or via an enclosure like this. I have used plenty of 2.0 devices they are great for old laptops that only have 2.0. But for setting up drives with large amounts of file, the 3.0 really helps. My Desktop has USB3.0. The only drawback i can see is the end caps do not seem to perfectly line up when the drive is in there. It may be just me being inpatient? But that's ok because I use this in a temporary way anyhow. Great deal for the price. The USB cable provided is a little odd to me that both ends are Same- Type A. but that's ok as long as i do not misplace the cable.

This is my second USB 3.0 2.5" Sabrent casing and I updated my old one because I don't like using the mini USB cable to connect with it and this one uses only one cable which is convenient. The case is made of aluminum and well constructed. It works flawlessly and no issues with it. This is the best external drive casing that I found so far with nice silver color. I highly recommend it.

This enclosure was exactly what I needed, it was easy to assemble and came with it's own screwdriver. The instructions were short, accurate and to the point on how to assemble as well as how to set up the hard drive. It comes with a thin pouch to carry/store it in as well as a short USB cord. The only downside is that the enclosure is difficult to insert into the thin and tight fitting pouch and there is no place to attach or store the USB cord.

Caps are cheap plastic and let glow over the whole piece of plastic, but it ia great for the price.
