Install was easy, but does require that you've carefully planned your data transfer. I chose to do a clean install of MacOS and selectively copy back files from an external backup; it's just how I roll. If you want to transfer everything intact, check out something like Carbon Copy Cloner (or similar disk cloning utility). Ten days after installing, my Macbook Air is working normally (similar speed, battery life, and quadruple the storage space). Recommended.

Need more room in your classic macbook air? Don't look at those NVMe SSDs. They might be faster in tests, but your mac won't hibernate anymore, which leads to more inconvenience. I can now retain growing photos library and music in my 2013 macbook air.
