As others have noted, it's almost identical to original Apple 45W charge cord (this is my third charger in 5 years due to fraying of the rubber cord where it meets the Magsafe head--a problem with both the original Apple cord and the previous knock-off replacement that was similar to this one). The only signs this charger is (probably) not Apple are the packaging (no shiny white Apple box) and small gaps at joints in the plastic casing that I doubt Apple would tolerate. Delivery was 2 days as promised. I'd definitely buy it again.

tl;dr: Not OEM, Works for the price and quick shipping. It's not OEM but looks pretty close. The package along is a tell. It's a thinner box, looks almost like the original. The sticker on the charger isn't quite right...also it rattles inside. But the big question is does it work, yes. I don't unplug my laptop from the wall very much so any short circuit will occur there as it has in the past with my OEM chargers. Leaving it plugged in and just taking the laptop does the job for me. I took a chance and I think for me it's a win. I've had it for a few months now after I had a power failure at my house and my 2nd OEM one decided to take a dump cuz of the surge. It saved my laptop I'm sure. I only unplug my MacBook from the charger and I don't usually take the charger with me. My first OEM charger went out on me from plugging it into an outlet and it caused a spark. poof...like as if it was planned obsolescence. Wasn't made to last long or work well. My Dell chargers are 20 years old and still fire right up. I'm here for the low cost for a functional charger. If you take the charger in and out of an outlet frequently here's a tip. LPT: get a cheap power strip with an on off switch. plug the laptop into the strip with it turned off. plug the power strip into the wall. Then flip the switch...no spark...That should help lower the chances of the adapter from blowing out. I can't guarantee it'll work every time but it will definitely lower the chances.Read full review

I question if this is an authentic Apple product. Every 30 seconds or so it stops sending power to my laptop. It works b/c it comes back on 30 seconds later, but it charges my laptop in little spurts. The lighting on my monitor changes every time the power cord starts/stops, making for a very frustrating experience, and this doesn't feel like a quality product.

It does not come with the duck head piece that allows you to just use the short cord. You can get one for $6.00. Otherwise would give 5 stars.

This magsafe charger works just like the original. The wire is thicker and looks sturdier than my previous charger that had a lifetime warrantee! This is an excellent replacement charger.
