The Router is working well, but not set back to Factory Default. Lucky I knew how to reset it back to Factory Default.

They are kind of beat up and the plastic faceplates are broken a little ajd one not even attatched but I just put electricle tape on it so it stays on haha. They were actually surprisingly clean no dust or filth on or even inside at all so that was great. Was a little disappointed that they did not come with mounting brackets so I can not attach them to my rack until the brackets arrive that I have ordered. I have not turned them on yet and will update review after seeijg how they power on.

Love this router! My workplace had one of these sitting on the shelf, and they let me borrow it for LAN parties with friends. After getting IOS up to date, I was able to set this up as a router and a DHCP server, paired with a beefy 3Com switch, this makes for the most reliable and high-speed LAN party setup we've ever had! It's a bit noisy, so I wouldn't recommend it for home use unless you have a closet you can put it in where the noise won't be so bothersome. Pretty much, this thing is crazy overkill for any home use. And it's awesome for that! If you can get one of these things for a pretty simular price to normal home routers, get it, and figure out how to use it. It's far more reliable and much faster than most home routers. It doesn't have gigabit ports, but if your internet connection is less than 100Mb it doesn't matter. This will still get you the full potential out of your internet connection. I would highly recommend you pair this unit with a gigabit switch for the highest speed within your network. Those can be found all over ebay too, from 3Com, HP, Cisco and others. Like I said, I'm using this with a chunky 3Com switch and it's all working just fine. It's very fast and reliable and very awesome to play LAN and Internet games over. This would also be a good unit for schooling, since it has all of the basic functionality to learn from. I kinda wish it used CF cards for the flash, but instead it uses a proprietary module. I've never really had any other commercial grade routers, so I can't really compare. I know if I had a L3 switch, that could do everything I ever wanted, but I could never find one for a good price. Ah well. It's a good unit, very reliable. I would recommend this product for students and people who want to use commercial grade products in their home. I would not recommend this product for companies that should probably be connecting their sites together with gigabit connections.Read full review
This router is good for your CCNA home lab practice, as it has the basic requirement to do your lab work. This particular one has a WIC-2T Serial (sync/async)network interface module installed. This module allowed one to be able to expand network connectivity with other WAN or PPP devices and vice versa. I would like to be running IOS 12.3 or higher, but I'm not sure with it's current memory that it would handle the IOS 12.4 version. This will require further investigatiion for upgrade possibilities and cost. This is a good router to add with your home CCNA Lab.
Cisco makes the best network equiptment out there. Even their older stuff beats a lot of the new modern equiptment out there. This is a good router for helping you along with your CCNA if you're strapped for cash. I don't know as if I would recommend it in a business environment as it has little flash memory and you might not be able to get the IOS required for all your business needs. All and all though 4 out of 5 seems appropriate to me.
