I bought this CPU cooler after a lot of research and comparisons with other brands. I have a Thermaltake Versa N24 case and it has a 155mm limit on the CPU cooler height. This fit the bill perfectly. Not only did it fit like it was custom, it also cleared my high profile RAM and all other heatsinks around the CPU. Its top-of-the-line, very well made, and very silent. It almost seems like it couldn't cool anything because of its quietness. The NH-U9S is built for small cases with limited room but can be used on most any CPU. It comes with a premium install kit including brackets for Intel and AMD, all hardware, fan cables and extensions, and fan clips. I added the extra fan with no problems and with plenty of clearance, its worth it. This cooler is a bit more costly but with Noctua, you do get what you pay for. I would recommend this product and the Noctua brand to anybody wanting a well designed and quality cooler. Read full review

This is a very reliable CPU cooler, par for the course for Noctua, and is very quiet. You can add a fan to the other end of the cooling fins if you need it, but I doubt you will. I run an AMD FX8350 CPU (slightly OC'ed) and this thing keeps it @ 32C while on the internet and doing simple tasks. (the mobo is 26C). Of course I have very good case cooling with a custom Cooler Master case with 2-200mm (front & top) & 2 140mm (side and rear) case fans. The CPU cooler is extremely well made, and the best thing about it is the fact that this is the only top end CPU cooler that gives me plenty of room for my 4 sticks of Corsair Vengeance RAM in my micro AsRock 970 pro3 mobo.

Well engineered mounting system. Solid and easy to install. Mounts cleanly in minutes. The noiseless fan makes all the difference. Mine came without their thermal paste that is on the parts list. But I had some on hand. Mine came without their thermal paste. But I had some on hand.

Great heatsink/cooler. Stock cooler idled at around 120, this one can idle at 100 F. During a full load, the stock cooler got 150+, this one remains 130-140. I think it's definitely worth it because it is keeping my CPU temperatures down.

Replaced the not so good stock cooler on Dell XPS 8940. It was a little tricky to install due to Dell's proprietary mother board, but it was worth it (You will need to Google install instructions). I don't have specific numbers, but the CPU runs significantly cooler. It never reaches 100 C anymore and seldom goes above 90.
