These tines are 100% like the original and hold up better, last longer, and till better than the other tines on the market. I have owned my tiller for 26 years and every time I replace the tines with these, it is like brand new again. I have tried other tines, but they just don't last or do as good of job getting in the soil. These are the only ones I would buy from now on. If you want to till up a rich loom to a smooth bed for planting, then I recommend these bolo tines. It must be something in the way they are bent, for they sure as heck do a fine job digging.

My 1978 Troy-Bilt tiller had already had the tines replaced when I got it. I noticed that they were wearing very quickly and bending in our rocky Vermont soil and decided to replace them before I replaced the tired motor. I have run the new tines for a year now and I can't believe the difference. The tines remain sharp and the paint has only started to wear off this spring. These are tough tines that that not only fit the machine perfectly but also last better than I had ever imagined. I have noticed they do not plug up like the old tines did, catching rocks and debris. Haven't bent one yet and I don't expect to. All of the bolts have remained tight and the tiller performs like a new machine. Highly recommended.

Perfect tine replacement for my old troybilt horse. Only negative is the one page worthless instructions that were hard for me to follow. But I went slow and once I figured it out, no problem. Do one set at a time and start with inner group on each side. i left the tineholders on the tine shaft and disassembled and assembled one set at a time. had an old manual and the pictures helped. tiller works much better with new tines. Highly recommend this product.

The tines are of good quality metal. Tilled very little with them so far but it tilled like a new machine. Take one set off at a time, keep them together just like they came off; then take the inside set off doing the same thing. Do all of this on one side before trying to put the new ones back on. The directions are a little vague about this. Then put the new inside tines back on the inside of the tiller, then replace the outside tines. Do all of this on one side, do not try to take all the tines off and then put all the new ones back on. You can, and we did, get very confused about the replacements, but if the other side(with the old tines are still on the tiller) you can look at that side and refresh your memory about the tines are suppose to go back on. The replacements probably took us a couple of hours. Not bad for never having replaced tines before. Go slow, read the directions and you should have no problems. The tines were even painted red.Read full review

I bought my troy bilt horse tiller 20 years ago in used condition. I have always been satisfied with it, but never realized how well it would work until I purchased these tines. I feel as though I bought a new tiller. The tines fit my 1975 horse perfectly and perform great. I am thankful that I resisted the temptation to buy the cheaper generic tines and decided to pay extra for the original high quality product.
