The HP ProCurve J8692A 3500yl-24g-pwr switch has the backbone of a programmable ProVision ASIC, which will allow you to enact even the most demanding networking features, including high-level quality of service (QoS) and security measures. With through-put speeds of 10/100/1000 on all ports and the swift movement of data from the port of entry to the destination port, you and other network users will be able to accomplish networking tasks faster than ever before. Save time and money with the HP ProCurve J8692A 3500yl-24g-pwr switch, with its 24 ports and a scalable design, so you have plenty of options for adding more switches in the future and broadening your network without buying any additional hardware. The steps to follow when setting this up are designed to be user-friendly, with an uncomplicated interface that allows you to deploy your own HP ProCurve J8692A rack-mountable switch. Features of this rack-mountable HP ProCurve J8692A include 1 gbps data transfer rate and data link protocols of Ethernet, fast Ethernet (100-Mbit/s), and Gigabit Ethernet (1000-Mbit/s). It is also PC compatible. It has BOOTP support, ARP support, VLAN support, and manageable flow control. The networking type is switch and the connective technology wired. The HP ProCurve J8692A also features Power Over Ethernet (PoE) and has many different interfaces, including 1x management, RS-232C, 9-pin D-Sub, RJ-45, and 24x network. The rack-mounting kit is included to mount this switch, which has a size of 17.4 inches wide, 1.7 inches high, 15.4 inches deep, and weighs 14 pounds. The search for storage servers is over with this HP ProCurve J8692A, which has 36MB QDR SDRAM packet buffer size memory and comes with the reputation HP is known for in its switches. The primary ports are 1 open module slot, 20 RJ-45 10/100/1000 ports, and support for a maximum of 4 10-GbE ports. One RS-232C DB-9 console port is included, as well as four Dual Personality Ports. Each port can be used as either RJ-45 or 10/100/1000, or even an open mini-GBIC slot. The 3500yl-24G-PWR ProCurve Switch is an intelligent edge switch from HP's ProCurve Networking line-up of products. Security is key in this series. With switch CPU protection, virus throttling, and multiple user authentication methods, you can be sure that your switch will be well secured. The ProCurve Switch J8692A features resiliency and high availability, with Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing, MAC address lockout, and switch management logon security. Dual flash images, multiple configuration files, and port mirroring are all also possible. This switch from HP is a built for performance and its ProVision ASIC is programmable to accommodate even the most demanding types of networking features, including QoS and Internet security, which can be integrated into the system in a scalable fashion. There are numerous Gigabit interfaces as well as integrated PoE on all of the switch's 10/100/1000 Base-T ports, the switch also delivers 10-GbE capability and your choice of a variety of form factors.
