The concept is great, but the video and audio quality is questionable and has a very apparent lag. When working it is pretty good and helps add uverse to an additional room without having to move a set top box or pay additional rental fees. However, the run hot, which means they consume energy and there is not on/off power switch. So, if you plan on using it on a casual basis, you need to unplug both units from the power outlet, which is a major inconvenience. It would have been sooo simple for them to be manufactured with an on/off switch. I am not one for wasting and paying for unneeded power consumption. Also, you can't add additional receivers to this transmitter, you have to buy a completely different system to have more than one receiver. Doesn't make sense to me.

The IOGEAR Wireless HDMI TV Connection Kit is exactly what I needed to resume using my DirecTV Genie. It was incredibly easy to set up and this kit provides better performance with my Logitech Harmony than when I was running the same TV with a wireless Genie mini.
