New electrical life to the 2009 Mac Pro 4,1
The 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 A1289 power supply unit (psu) sometimes fail on these models and requires to be replaced. By all means it is easy access to remove and replace the PSU with four torx screws holding it in place and remove the DVD drive unit and shield to disconnect the plug from the motherboard. Word for the wise is when your PSU on your Mac Pro 4,1 fails and it will eventually fail, do not attempt to install a PSU from an earlier Mac Pro model because the connections of the motherboard and PSU are not compatible with each other.
