Works well, but so far, have not been able to get into the BIOS or MB settings, as it has a password, which I do not know, but am going to contact the seller to resolve the Admin password issue. Also, I was not able to get E5-2680 v2 processors to boot, which is probably due to needing to update the BIOS to 3.0 or higher. Also, if you want this to fit in a moderate sized case, the Rosewill Rise ($89.00) full tower ATX case will work, but you will have to do a simple mod to get the MB standoffs to work, five or six MB standoffs do line up, but you will have to drill four of your own standoff holes...which is not that difficult. If you are not that skilled, then you can probably get away with using several plastic standoff spacers, the important thing is to ensure the MD is not touching any metal parts, as this will cause your MB to shortout. Currently, I have two Intel Xeon E5-2660's running with Windows 10 Professional. The CPU PassMark score for one CPU is around 14,103, which is pretty great, as I only paid $98 for the CPU. I will update this review after I get the Admin password sorted out, then, I can update the BIOS, and try to re-install the E5-2680 v2 CPUs, so you can be assured LGA 2011 V2 CPUs work in this MB.Read full review

Great board. Solid server quality I expect from Supermicro. Only problem is that the board size is "Enhanced Extended ATX", but this is just Supermicro not making it completely obvious that it's a proprietary format. It's pretty cool to a union of E-ATX & XL-ATX, but you don't have an inch or two of space to the left of the I/O bracket, it isn't going to fit. The cost of 24 DDR3 slots + 2 CPUs. Don't have good solution for a case unless you have a Supermicro Server Case. Unlike some of the X9D series of dual Socket 2011 boards, this has square socket 2011 mounting brackets for heatsinks. If you buying an after market heatsink/fan/cooler that is supposed to fit 2011, it will most like be for the square version that this board has. However, if you moving from a board like the X9DRi-F, which using the narrow socket 2011 mounting (also know as ILM 2011) you need a different bracket. That square/narrow difference is just for the heatsink mount, it's all the same Socket 2011. This specific board is the v1.20 some of the lower version (not sure which) don't support the E5-26xx V2 CPUs, only E5-26xx (V1). Something to look out for. There about a $30ish different between the two versions at time of writing. Make sure you are aware of the different, which you know the version you are buying. Most sellers of the earlier version which only supports the non-V2 chips sell it out pretty clearly. Course a deal that comes with CPU is likely a cheap starting place and you know that the CPUs will work. Read full review

The server came in pristine condition just a few scratches on the chasis but the internals were all good. Bummer it didn't come with power cords but w/e. If i need a more powerful machine ill definitely order from them again.
