This motherboard is designed to handle very large files for multiple software programs. The "boxed kit" comes with 2 sets of "motherboard-to-hard-drive cables". One is "6 volts" and one is "300 volts". I recommend using the "300 volt cable(s)" no matter what software program your working with. The "6 volt", in my opinion, should not be in this kit. It is very risky and can cause a crash due to very large files. Better safe then sorry. Other then that, if you have older tech components that will go with this motherboard, then I strongly recommend you buy it. Just make sure you use the "300 volt cable(s)".

I did notice that with all 4 Kingston Hyper X installed I had to raise memory voltage to the higher rating of Hyper X. Two or three modules worked just fine without voltage change.

i was looking to upgrade from an old desktop that was all i owned. i needed to be very frugal about it. this motherboard, along with some other components i purchased on e-bay, allowed me to build an exceptionally fast & powerful machine. although not exactly cutting edge by any stretch, this unit is readily expandable to practically equal some of the higher end machines retailing today. all told, based around this board, my new machine cost me 250.00 . just amazing, probably 1000.00 or more new retail.
Seems to be running great, I really enjoy this board! Over clocked to 3.5 no problems on my QX6850 (Core 2 Quad Extreme). Water cooled of course, with temps at about 40 celcius under full load. Took the metal covers off the northbridge and south bridge, and installed some fans right on top of them. =)
This motherboard is as advertised and has lots of good parts on it. I had been looking for parts to repair my motherboard and this fit the bill fine..
