Good product with a lot of features of a small computer. I purchased the 500 gigabyte hard drive version of the Archos 5H IT. Lots of storage but the HD wears the battery down faster. Tablets are probably best with solid state storage that really doesn't detract much from their intended mobile function. Lots of APPs for the android processor but not as many as the Apple IPOD and IPAD. The Archos 5H is not as intuitive as the Apple products so I would only recommend it for experienced users of PCs. A few days of exploration with the tablet will bring out it's impressive applications and capability.
Good- The display is great and watching videos is amazing. The screen is nice and big and this media device plays many formats. the mussic plays in great quality as well. Bad- Sometimes this device lags or goes slow. The touch screen isn't very sensitive and you have to push harder than an Ipod Touch. Overall- I like this device and would recommend to those who like to listen to music, watch videos, and surf the web. Aslo, this is so much cooler if you have the dvr. Again, I prefer the ipod touch better (the 4g).
Great little player. Massive memory that holds everything on my PC with great features all integrated into the unit. GPS $40 extra to enable, plays many different kinds of movie formats(mkv, avi, mp4 etc..) and FM transmitter. Love this unit. My best player to date and I use it everyday.
The Archos 5 500gb is a work well but less battry the hard drive. the movie and the music are ok the system is stable but not perfect andrid 1.6 is low
I like that I can record television but the clarity isnt as good, I also like the games and things but I cant seem to get an app that allows me to view youtube or other videos.
