This is a beautifully designed and finished bracket and very sturdy, however I attempted to mount a Gibraltar L-shaped 9.5mm cymbal arm to a bass drum and found the included memory lock would not tighten around the rod. I also had to remove the spring that keeps the clamp open because it prevented proper tightening of the bracket to the cymbal arm. It could be possible that the Gibraltar L-arm is slightly less than 9.5mm but I think this bracket would fit a 10.5mm arm a bit better. I was still able to use the bracket by swapping out the Ludwig memory lock with the original Gibraltar memory lock and removing the small spring that keeps the bracket open but would have preferred that all the parts worked correctly. Be sure that your tom arm, floor tom leg or cymbal arm is the full 9.5mm or larger variety.Read full review
