Needed a Sata drive. Had to buy one. It came down to a choice between this Western Digital WD7502ABYS 750gb 32mb cache -OR- a WD Black 1tb 64mb cache. Bought this one for a little less money (don't want to spend too much for a used hdd). It is a pretty quick drive. Still don't like Sata connections. Prefer the old IDE type. Ever since the first bought Western Digital 40gb Scorpio for my laptop -- love Western Digital. Very reliable hard drive. Quiet. Support on the website is good. And a couple of nice tools are included there. Seagate would definitely be my runner-up choice. If I couldn't find a Western Digital.
I bought this drive to upgrade my server with a larger hard drive. The hard drive is quiet. Like how responsive the hard drive is uploading to and down loading with the 32mg cache compared to ones with only 16mg. Will definitely buy more of this type of hard drive in the future.
Working right out the box.

I've only had the WD Hard Drives in operation for about a week now and so far they have been working fine. I have them hooked up in a RAID-O format and so far I've had good results.
