The Western Digital 1 TB internal hard drive designed for desktop computers has 16 MB dedicated for disk buffering to ensure easy availability of regularly used data. This internal hard drive also has a high performance Serial-ATA, Serial-ATAII interface. With a high spindle speed for computing at increased speeds, the Western Digital 1 TB SATA hard drive also has effective Seek Time and Average Latency of 8.9ms and 4.17ms (respectively) for swift data location. The device to system data transfer rate is also considerably high on this SATA hard drive. The Western Digital 1 TB features S.M.A.R.T. Technology to keep a tab on hard drive efficiency and capacity.

    Accurate description. quick ship and reasonable prices. Rock on!

    Pretty cool hard drives, I used them for a RAID 1. The TX2300 RAID controller specified only certain drives were certified (but many other non certified would work as well) and I didn't want any alibis. Since this was a "critical install" with an attempt to minimize costs. I had to locate special drives that have been out of production for a while. (Gramma crashed her computer and wanted extra security for her grandkids photos.) Vendor shipped drives quickly and it was EXACTLY the model as listed on the ebay auction.

    Great drive for video

    If you need a music or video storage drive this is a great low powered drive for this. RE2 drives have a history of being reliable for long term use. How ever you may want to adjust the head parking time on the drive from 20 to 300 to get the fastest speeds.

    Backup Drive

    This was a puchased to use in a network storage device. I actuall bought two so I could have a mirrored drive. This was my first SATA drive. It has proven to be a faster drive then the older ones I used in the past. Data retreval is very fast over my home network either wired or wireless. The large drive space makes it easy to contain MUsic files, documents and my vidoe on one drive.

    Very happy and very pleased.

    Very nice Hard Drive. Runs fast and was in excellent condition upon arrival and so far with WIN 7 64 Bit it is running nice and fast and smooth with ho errors or issues of any kind.
