Probably the easiest bios updating process I've ever dealt with, however the transition from "Generation 6 to Generation 7" for CPU use is convoluted in that it is impossible to use the motherboard with a Generation 7 CPU to start with UNLESS the bios has been updated to a newer version rather than the stock bios.

will it is as is for parts but I think it will do there is one thing if you are going to use any z170 mother board you can not run a 7th gen cpu on it until the bios is upgraded and this can only be done with a 6th gen cpu the board will not post with a 7th gen cpu to flash I needed to have a g4400 cpu on the board then post and flash the bios then the 7th gen cpu will post a pain but that is how it worked I did this with three z170 boards an MSI PC MAT, ASUS PROGAMER AND A C7Z170 SUPERMICRO all need the bios to be flashed and only with the 6th gen cpu before a 7the gen will work
