I should have researched more as the R210 ii board doesn't accept non/ECC ram so my old ram was no longer useful. That and the v2 boards pcie is capped at 25 watts so no use as a hardware transcoding machine since you can't use any gpu that isnt 10 gens ago.

This will for bolt-on into an r210 v1 (using the old Xeons 34xx series), and will effectively turn your server into an r210ii. All you then need is a xeon e3-12xx v1 or v2 (make sure you get the updated Bios for v2, otherwise, it will only boot with a v1 cpu, until you update the bios). The old r210v1 heatsink can be re-used without any issue on this new mainboard too. 10/10 would recommend
