Pretty good switch, overall. It seems to stay cool when on continuously, has plenty of spacing between the port groups and ports themselves, and makes a good addition to any home lab. The primary downside is that the power light is red on the unit, while pretty much all other LEDs are green. You never want to see a red light in a data center, but you also don't want to see red lights on any home gear (it just makes you think something is an error state, right?) A minor quibble on an otherwise fine product.
It's a unmanaged switch what really needs to be said it was just what I needed at a great price . Didn't matter if it was s refurb. How many times does a switch go bad? Come on really

I purchased this switch to expand my home network. I have a tp-link 8 port switch and an Archer C3200 router already so I'm very confident in this switch also..

Dropped right in painlessly, seemed to have automatically fix some issues, and my network has never worked better. I suppose there are better solutions for many users, but for my needs it was a perfect fit.
