The real hero here is the shop tech that checked out the mobo before hand and then took the time to put extra bubble wrap in the USPS box. Good think he did. The box arrived with rips in it and I feared the worst. The extra padding was a saving grace. Who wants to fight with USPS for insurance etc... The board fired up without incident and works as expected. As a former computer engineer I believe my acceptable expectation may be more than the average bear.

I had one of these in my computer for 4 years. It had an overclocked CPU. It was Rock solid in those for years until the BIOS chip went bad. I unsuccessfully try to change it. I have a complete backup buy acronis but will only work with the exact same motherboard that I had in my PC. Very disappointed this one didn't work but it's a great bored. I hate to buy them used because of the special handling they need.

Great Motherboard, Its fast... easy to overclock, quality military components. Its seems faster than my new board Z97-PRO with the same 4th gen processor. maybe a fix in the way of a bios upgrade to speed up drive access for the Z97.
