Great value for the hardware you're getting. It came with a strange proprietary Chinese bios but that's to be expected given where it came from. It took the OEM bios without any issue. Shipping was great as well. item was well packed and had no discernable damage upon arrival. There were some small plastic fragments in the LGA socket, under the shipping foam, but they blew out easily. everything seems to be working as anticipated. I even managed to get Windows 10 enterprise installed and booted without too much trouble. She's going to be a great workstation horse! Supports AHCI but lacks the necessary EFI support to boot from the PCIE slot; Unfortunately the bios wont recognize it as a boot device. It will recognize m.2 PCIE storage once you get into windows though. Has been a solid workhorse and would recommend for anyone looking to build a dedicated workstation.Read full review

This is a decent board for the cost. You get great functionality and from what I can tell, it's well worth getting the additional Pike card as well. It is absolutely critical that you check the hardware compatibility with this board though. If your RAM isn't on the list, don't use it. I was getting random restarts with no warning and no errors. Also, get a good cooler if you use the 6200 series Opteron. You can modify a hyper cooler 212 and it chills this thing way more than any of the standards you can buy. It cools it by more than 30 degrees by comparison.

Been running this board for a few weeks. Seems to be working well. Fully populated (2 cpus, 24 cores, 256 GB RAM). Two minor(?) complaints: BIOS seems to be unable to retain settings after a power cycle. I replaced the CMOS battery, and this is still an issue. (BIOS does retain settings after a reboot; just not after turning off power.) It's possible this is a BIOS bug: the BIOS is NOT the OEM ASUS BIOS that comes with the OEM board, but something weird: a Chinese logo pops up, which wraps the usual AMI BIOS menus. Perhaps the "save settings" function got broken in the process? BTW, if you want my old board, send a shipping label, I'll send it out. It's got a fried power transistor near the 24-pin power connector. I think it just overheated from heavy CPU+RAM use during a long compute run.Read full review

I run 2 of these continuously 24/7 and I have never had one of these fail me other than self-caused problems (Water cooling leak, and physical damage to the socket.) Windows and Linux run spectacularly on these machines, with uptimes that would be years except for OS updates. A solid piece of engineering with plenty of ports, and great dependability.
