This computer has been a workhorse for us over the years. Handles all sorts of programs for us. Did not like the idea of upgrading to a new computer as we would have been forced into Windows 10 and of course the purchase of all new software to run under it. Our symptoms were rather strange as only video intensive software would crash the computer at first. We replaced the video card and everything worked well for about 3 weeks, then the power supply started acting up. We replaced the power supply and ran well for about 2 weeks and then we couldn't get a good boot. We decided that at some point during the winter we had a power surge which damaged pretty much everything on this computer. Our piece by piece repairs just put more stress on the other weak parts. The only thing left at that point was the mother board. We figured...what the heck. We've gone this far....why not. All of these repairs were relatively quick to make and all totaled we spent less than what it costs to walk through the door at the service tech. Computer is working great.Read full review
