My 1545 laptop had crashed. Apparently hard drive had a bad sector on it. I was not able to reload to factory settings. All I could get to load on hard drive was Ubuntu os. I did not like Ubuntu os. Purchased above hard drive and installed in my laptop. When I turned on laptop it started right up as windows 7 was already loaded on it. It has run with no problems since then. I have this drive rated excellent as this saved my laptop from the parts bin at the local computer store.
Bought this to replace one in my laptop that died after 10+ years of service. The drive that was shipped to me was the EXACT drive that was pictured in the ad. Needs to be FDISKED, formatted and reloaded, but that's it. It worked fine right out of the packaging. The only negative I can find was that it was shipped USPS and the packaging really needed more bubble wrap. Phil in TX

The title only allows 65 charachters, so it's incomplete. Here is the entire listing title: Western Digital Scorpio WD1600BEVS (160 GB, Serial ATA II/Serial ATA/IDE, 8 MB) Hard Drive I needed a laptop hard drive with an IDE interface and the listing was so poorly worded that I didn't find out until I bought it that it was a SATA HDD. Fortunately, the Seller refunded my money almost immediately. This isn't the first Western Digital hard drive I've purchased, and I've found them to be reliable, such that WD is the only brand of hard drive that I consider, whether it's for me or for one of my clients.
Just to rid from my rate list
