I ran with the crowd for a long time and purchased the IPad mini for my first tablet even though I was a die hard Samsung user in my phones. I struggled with the Apple oddities and figured out how to make it work for me, but was just never comfortable with it. When it came time to get a new tablet, I read a lot of reviews and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 kept rising to the top and in some cases was recommended over the IPad mini ~ so I took the chance and ordered it. I am so glad I did!!! It is like holding a super big phone when I use it. I automatically know how to perform so many of the functions already because of the years experience with Samsung phones. The screen is excellent with vibrant colors. Touchscreen is very sensitive and one inadvertently can close the window you were looking at and open a new one. Battery life is extremely poor as drains the battery even in sleep position. Battery is good for about 3-4 days without using.

Pros Powerful processor Great display Decent battery Cons Touchwiz skin still not great Runs old version of Android The Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is thin, light, powerful, has a great screen, and is sprinkled with extra features like a fingerprint sensor, good battery life, a decent rear-facing camera and a solid side-by-side app implementation. Unfortunately it still comes up short with Samsung's overall weak software design, and poor button and speaker placement when using the tablet in landscape. Perhaps the biggest downside, however, is it's price.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 is a good tablet for kids nowadays. Slim, slick and light weight with better screen than the old tablet we had and did I say light weight? It's up to the task for what kids use the tablet nowadays (mostly youtube kids 😁). Just pair it with kid friendly case and tempered screen protector to withstand everydays use.

I really am impressed with the display and speed of this tablet. I previously had a Samsung Tab and can tell huge difference in the vivid colors and crisp display of this one. The speed is extremely fasterror than my previous one as well. Very pleased overall with value.
