This is a solid replacement motherboard, but be warned: this is a pulled motherboard from a pre-built system ASUS made some time ago. The BIOS for this particular motherboard does not allow for overclocking RAM or a CPU. But everything else worked perfectly for me. For the price, this is an excellent deal. It's a name brand motherboard, can run Phenom II gaming CPUs and most PCI-E graphics cards. There is even a mini-PCI slot which is the standard now. Also has an IDE cable port if you still need to use IDE ports. No USB 3.0 capability though. Still, an excellent deal.

This motherboard was also used on the ASUS-Branded retail PC, the Essentio CM1630. Scammers will try to scam you by selling you that motherboard as if they were the same ASUS M4A78LT-M. That OEM board won't accept ASUS M4A78LT-M bioses and will have all overclocking-related features (including core-unlocking) locked. I feel tempted to list names here.

Worked perfect 1st time! This motherboard has more features than my old one too. Very glad I got it. Has more memory slots than my old one too so I upgraded memory. Very happy with it.

I bought this to replace same model Asus board however as OP pointed out it's not M4A78LT as advertised it's a factory locked board with no unleashed mode or OC features which is lame but it did work for my purposes. Just hope it can handle adding a video card because the onboard video sucks and is not what was on my original board this was supposed to replace.

A decent board that will run 16gb of RAM. Bought to replace one just like it that lost it's video.
