We are very positive after installing eight of these models for small businesses (several on a T1s 3 to 20+ users and others with just 3 or 6 user connections on DSL). In every case the unit was easy to configure and has been performing well! In 2007 we thought a SonicWall TZ-170 was a great purchase on special for around $175. That unit came with a built-in limit of just ten (10) users. When we ran into that limit in 2009 and the choice for this device with NO LIMITS vs. paying Sonicwall over $300 to for a extra 10 to 25 user upgrade, was easy to make. We have found the firewall up to inbound testing by the likes of TrustKeeper and the wireless access to be working well while also implementing our need for on-site security. As an added bonus in one installation we were able to re-purpose and re-sell the old router, switch, and wireless access point that this one unit replaced! Also included other typical router capabilities (e.g. DHCP, NAT and more, [See our guide titled: Hubs, Switches, Routers -What's the difference? for definitions of these terms]). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Device is very unstable. device is dropping internet connection every few hours. Netgear support is working on this issue. Don't buy it. SRXN3205 is much better.
Very bad description, item is new but old
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
This router switch is an excellent purchase.. The Netgear Fvg318 allows 8 connections so you dont need an additional switch.
