I tested this out in my old 2008 Gateway LX series mid tower. The install was fairly straight forward. I wasn't able to use some of the case accessories due to the specific nature of the case/profile design i.e. the obsolete IEEE 1394 fire wire 400 provision. Also my CPU cooling fan mounts are slightly smaller so I have the case sideways and the fan/heat sink resting on top of the CPU with a little arctic silver in between. Surprisingly does not run hot for just sitting on top of the CPU. Prior to installing expansion devices and drives, I went into the HP bios and configured for non-secure/legacy boot. Motherboard also successfully updated to the HP ver 8.20 rev a bios update; booted up with no problems. Awaiting arrival of a proper CPU cooling fan assembly for this motherboard and an A10-6700 to see if with the updated bios, the motherboard hopefully will accept the CPU upgrade as seen in a YouTube tutorial video.Read full review

Great product and everything works good so far. Only thing is picture shows the motherboard with a WiFi mini-card. Motherboard came without it. Had to use my old one which has one broken connector.

I don’t do a lot of gaming on this computer, mostly just home office stuff and this board performed well. I have a separate PC for my games. I recently had some trouble with my old board and bought this one as a replacement. My PC is back up and running great. Thanks

The PC wasn't posting (no video) and, after troubleshooting it to be this part, replacing it fixed the PC.
