Inexpensive, compact, worked well for watching home videos on my tv, that were on a microSD card. My tv only has a USB jack for external devices. I didn't want to transfer all my videos to a flash drive, so a product like this was optimal. Saved me time, arrived quickly, and did it's job.

I've been using a computer since the early 90s and I've never, out of all the brands and types of products I've used (working with computers on my job), had a product get this hot. Within a minute, it was so hot that it could burn the skin. I thought it was on fire, it was burning my skin so bad. Do not recommend. Very dangerous.

Works well. Linux compatible (Debian Jessie). I didn't run benchmarks but appears to have solid 3.0 performance. One star off for the physical construction. The main drawback is that it is hard to get micro sd cards to engage the socket. It usually takes a couple tries and I have almost lost a card inside the case several times. Nevertheless, at the price I would buy again.
