this isn't the newest iMac out there but it's more than capable of running the software that i need. Basic office tasks, netflix, web surfing, etc.. i've upgraded mine with an SSD and the difference is night and day. El Capitan seems to be made for SSDs and doesn't offer the performance on spinning media hard drives. if you're looking for a good starter machine or a cheaper second one this would probably do for you.

Good extra PC for spare roo, but buy Mac w/power+keyboard together. Or ur better off getting newer model. Power Cords for minimacs in scarce & $$$$ As far as the rumors go, Mac is better than the Puter (exception: the mining PC, but no one uses that for anything else) I suggest having a Desktop iif you have kids, better posture and graphic design, coding, studying is easier to focus fun and it helps create better habits.

The 20 inch iMac is apples entry level all in one desktop solution, while this model is nearly 7 years old, it has aged exceptionally well. While the 128mb Graphics processor and standard 2GB of ram are going to limit your gaming capabilities, it still makes basic tasks such as word processing, and light video editing a breeze....And that's not to say the RAM isn't easily expandable too, the video card can also be upgraded with a little experience. I was able to seamlessly play games like Minecraft, Portal 2, and other popular games of today on this machine at lower settings, and making DVDs with iDVD or any iLife application was as easy as ever. The screen size lags behinds it's brothers, but i all based on preference.
It's a mac, what's not to like? Computer processing systems can be evaluated (and valued) in all sorts of ways depending on it's structure. Sure, all 20" mac's look the same, but what you want to know is the value of the software within it [and if the computer can hold it, support it, and make it work at optimum capacity over a period of time]. This computer comes with 2 GB of memory standard for the year it was release, but it can hold up to 16GB with added upgrades. 2.4 Ghz processor, which is about average, but If you have the money go for the 1TB/3.4Ghz model with OSX 10.8.2 Mountain Lion, especially if you need it for business purposes, graphics, audio/video production, etc. If you need a stepping stone computer with that kind of capability, start with this [and from this seller, they rock!] and then upgrade to a better model.Read full review
It was delivered today and I can’t believe the condition it’s in. It’s clean and running great, a couple scuffs on the back but who’s looking there? Also.. trust me, download Chrome because some sites just wont work on Safari. YouTube for example, kept shutting down safari. Other than that. It’s more than a good value. I do recommend.
