This item is inexpensive and lots of features. My Cloud from Western digital is awesome! this item can backup your files pretty fast wireless connectivity. Hasn't disconnected on me yet and since i got it over a week, i haven't seen any problems yet.

Slow and disconnects itself is what I've experienced so far, still backing and exporting pictures from the Macintosh a week later. The Windows pic times out on it and the smart tv is slow with it.

Great deal great product, maybe a small learning curve for most other people. Only a few downsides though: no remote activation but you can shut it down remotely, can't connect directly to a computer or game console as the My Book can. However, the convenience of having all files at my fingertips from miles away 24/7 can't be compared to anything else; I was at 3/4 capacity on my laptop at 750 gigs. One of the best assets and purchases I've made this year.

if you dont have a internet connection you can not access drive on internal network a big security issue to have it always on the internet horror story's of ransomware all over the internet on thees drives i don't want my nas on the internet at all ever! super slow connections because authentication is done on the internet i will have to goto the hacks to get this drive to work without exposing it to the internet
