I have a Dell Studio 1737 that was having lots of problems with the internal Intel wireless 5100 series. I was having internet crashes, long login times, and intermitant carrier drops. The Linksys AE3000 has solved all these problems. I notice it is faster for logons AND faster on websites. This Linksys Wireless Adapter AE3000 is one of my better investments. I highly recommend the product.

I bought this product because I have a 105Mbps internet connection at home and wasnt using not even 15Mbps with my wireless G network. So I bought a Netgear router Wireless N dual band (2.4 and 5Ghz) to be able to use my whole bandwidth, but I needed a GOOD wireless N adapter, It had to work in the 5hz band, have great reception, etc; that is equal to Linksys AE3000. This adapter + my router are giving me great throughput and the latency in the wireless network is maybe 1ms offset, and I am like 6 meters away from the router (walls in the middle).
WLAN card on my notebook stopped working properly and the connection speed reduced to 2-4 Mbps. I tried mini USB wireless adapter and it increased the speed to 10 Mbps. Too slow. I came across reviews on Linksys AE3000 and decided to give it a try. I am glad I did. I boosts the connection speed up to 180 Mbps. That's a huge difference. Great adapter, worth every penny spent on it.

Have used Linksys products for years, and this one like the others works well. I plugged it in and it started working and has continued with out a failure. Looks nice on the desk.

Item is as listed. This thing has greatly increased my download speed over the wifi device that came with my Toshiba laptop. I now have two of these.
