On my VIC-20 the voltage reads (via TFW8b.com User Port Power Saver) between 4.95 and 4.99 VDC, depending on cartridge, SD2IED, datacassete, etc. usage... so seems very well stabilized :) Initially I was under the illusion that the power switch was a backlit one... but later realized that that was just vivid photos ;P Not a big deal but would have been be a nice touch as the internal LED can only be seen from the sides through the grill.

Nice, compact, cool running Commodore power supply. Very well-made with attention to detail. Not sure why, but 5 V pins didn’t work at first; pulled off the plug cover and manipulated the wires a little bit, and started working. Seller was very helpful. I will be buying another one.

    Guardian Angel for your C64

    Grabbed a C64 from a local yard sale and used the original power supply. Nothing! Found out through research that these power supplies go bad with age and are actually dangerous to your beloved C64. Bought this aftermarket replacement and the computer came to life back from the dead. Thanks so much! I'd recommend anyone to buy this and I know my precious C64 and its chips are safe.

    A Better C64 Power Supply

    This is a professional, well made power supply for the C64. It provides more current capacity than the original, is smaller and lighter, and runs cooler. I've only been using it for a short time, but so far I am very pleased.

    New PSU with on/off switch adds piece on mind using vintage hardware.

    Works greats, prefer to use the on off switch on the PSU than having to use the aged on/off on my C64. First modern piece of equipment bought once I obtained my vintage system.
