Used disks are always questionable, but these are the best!
I purchased 3 of these. All were well packed and arrived on time. More importantly all passed SMART test, Western Digital Data Lifeguard test, and Crystal Disk test which I run on any used drive before using it. For this price and quality, I made a Christmas present of one for a nearly computer illiterate cousin who was getting by on a 75GB drive but unable to add photos. I'll use the other two on an older computer that can handle both SATA & PATA drives.

It may work very well if you have time to reload lots of drives
Amazingly this inexpensive hd fixed an 8 year old busted Dell pc I was ready to give up on. Apparently the only selection for a hard disc drive you need to know is IDE vs SATA. One 40 pin connection to a ribbon ( make sure it's not kinked) and a 4 pin connection plus mounting screws. The only hard part is all the software drives you need to reload after you reload your operating system. You need the software CD's that came with the pc and/or access to the pc website for downloading software (may need lifetime warrantee, newer pc's only warranteed 1 year).

Excellent Drive, Installs easily, works great!
This was very easy to install, and works great! No problems! Make sure of your current hard drive before you go to replace. I needed a new one for my computer so made sure this would work before purchase, it will save you alot of headaches if you make sure this will fit properly into you system and that your current OS will work on it. Check in your system properties first!

Older technology that's not broken, just forgotten.
If you have older systems like I do, and there not broken, and you keep them just to play older games or run software that just does not run on the new 64Bit systems with the serial drive interfaces, then this type of drive is just what you need. It has the capacity and speed needed to store and run those old and favorite programs on systems that use the PATA drive interface. It`s not the computer that broke, it`s just systems and software that keep getting faster and better.
