I've been dreading an upcoming ski trip with my son and his Boy Scout troop. I knew our 30 degree (F) "cold weather" Coleman sleeping bags wouldn't cut it. I poked around online and this seemed to be the highest quality at the lowest price. The Gore-Tex covers had a few patches, but they seemed expertly done. What do I care? My goal is to stay warm. The bags themselves were in mint condition. For the campout, I didn't bother with the cover, thinking I wouldn't need it inside our tent. During the night, the temperatures dropped to below zero and it began snowing. When I awoke in the morning, my bag was frosted over from exhaled water vapor, I assume. No matter. The bags worked perfectly and my son earned both a "snow" and "zero-degree" coup. (From all the hooping and hollering, this is evidently a big deal.) I've got another son in Cub Scouts with two more years to go before he crosses over. Will I buy again? You betcha! A fourth, for my wife, so she can enjoy these winter campouts? Fat chance!Read full review

I bought this product used, but in good condition and it has been great. It's nice to be able to use one of the bags or all three depending on conditions, and in my opinion for having three layers is very light weight and easy to pack into camp. Would recommend it to anyone who does more than occasional camping or who had to sleep in less than optimal conditions outdoors.

There are better bags out there. Less heavy. Better temp performance. But, at the price these sets are going for, it's hard to get even one good quality 0/32 degree bag, let alone a 2-bag system that will take you down to -20 (they claim -30, but nah uh) and up to +10/60 (with the light bag alone). And then there's the bivy-- 3 plys of goretex goodness. Again, a bit heavy, but it's bulletproof and will keep you dry, even if you end up sleeping in a puddle. Wanna camp on the beach and there's a squall coming in? No problem, and no need for a tent or a tarp. Just stick your bag in the bivy, and sleep. If you're an ultralight backpacker, look elsewhere. But, if you're a backpacker that can live with the weight or you use a car, these are a fantastic buy.

Very hard to beat this quality and price, investing in this system is well worth it, cheap lightweight bags cannot compare to the US modular bag system and bivy . 10/10
